Summary:
The ideal candidate for the Welder/Fabricator position will be responsible for adhering to a production schedule, ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned, and secured, and meeting safety standards always, among other duties.
Key responsibilities:
Daily duties may include the following activities:
- Reviews and understand drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
- Constantly checks & measurements as required during fabrication to ensure quality and dimensions of each piece that’s being worked on with rulers, measuring tapes or squares.
- Proficient in all forms of welding, cutting & heating equipment's.
- Proficient in the process of all forms of fabrication and machine shop tooling.
- Ability to make templates and jigs for common work tasks.
- Handles simple maintenance of welding equipment.
- Support workshop activities as and when required.
- Proficient in operating overhead cranes.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior or Company.
- Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Maintain extremely high safety standards Independent & leadership skills.
Additionally, candidates need to know how to weld all types of the Heavy Equipment Attachments:
- Welding Bucket
- Welding Excavator Boom & Stick
- Welding Mechanical Grapple
- Welding Scrap Grapple
- Welding frame ETC
- Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Constantly checks & measurements as required during fabrication to ensure quality and
- dimensions of each piece that’s being worked on with rulers, measuring tapes or squares.
- Proficient in all forms of welding, cutting & heating equipment.
Qualifications:
- Able to Speak English fluently.
- A high school diploma or equivalent relevant discipline is a plus.
- Welding certificate completion.
- Required 10 years of experience in the heavy fabrication industry.
