Job Description Summary:

The ideal candidate for the Workshop Manager position will be responsible for managing QER workshop operations in KSA and leading a team of technical personnel to allocate workload effectively and oversee day-to-day operations to improve workshop performance. This position is within an equipment rental company with a diverse fleet. It requires effective coordination with multiple departments to ensure the "Fix It Right" process is followed, delivering equipment on time and in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities:
Daily duties may include the following activities:
  • Manage shop floor efficiency for quick and timely equipment delivery with a focus on high repair quality.
  • Ensure optimal utilization, productivity, and efficiency of all workshop staff.
  • Implement proper job distribution, control, and follow-up to ensure tasks are completed correctly and as per schedule.
  • Deliver quality repairs to enhance customer satisfaction and retention while minimizing repeat jobs to improve overall workshop efficiency.
  • Provide training and coaching to improve the skills, performance, and efficiency of team members.
  • Perform pre-repair inspections to confirm issues and post-repair inspections to ensure effectiveness.
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections for equipment going on hire.
  • Inspect off-hired equipment based on the delivery checklist and report any discrepancies.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company policies, rules, and procedures, including warranty guidelines.
  • Coordinate with the operations, store, and logistics teams for smooth workflow.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience managing and leading a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor and improve workshop KPIs and operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in writing and presenting technical reports.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong ability to identify parts of heavy equipment using manuals, SIS, and other sources.
  • Minimum of 10 years of recent experience in automotive or heavy equipment workshops, preferably in a dealership environment.
  • Experience working with a diverse fleet of rental equipment.
